Battery recycling company Cirba Solutions and automaker Honda have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the supply of recycled battery materials to be used in Honda’s future products, including EV batteries. The companies have agreed to establish a strategic partnership to develop a sustainable contribution to Honda’s battery supply chain. The companies are likely to benefit from tax credits under the IRA given Cirba’s announcement in March that it will be constructing a USD300 million EV battery recycling facility in South Carolina.
