Heritage Battery Recycling, an affiliate of cross-chemistry battery management and processing company Cirba Solutions, has announced plans to construct a lithium-ion battery recycling facility in Eloy, Arizona. An existing on-site building will be expanded by 75,000 square feet to accommodate the processing of lithium-ion end-of-life batteries and battery manufacturing scrap, as well as the additional services of disassembly, sorting, warehousing and diagnostic testing. The new facility will produce raw material feedstock such as nickel, cobalt, manganese and lithium to be used in new cathode and battery manufacturing processes.

The new recycling facility will be Cirba Solution’s second in Arizona, the first being a processing site in Mesa, and is expected be operational by mid-2023.
