Last week, the Danish Energy Board of Appeal annulled a permit for an offshore wind farm located 10km off the south coast of Copenhagen. The 300MW project had previously received approval from the Energy Agency in 2022 and was due to start operation in 2026. Hofor, a Danish utility that currently operates 40MW of offshore wind turbines in the country, is developing the project. Siemens Gamesa was chosen earlier this year to supply 26 wind turbines to the farm. The suspension is due to a change in practice regarding the necessary environmental assessment.
