Redwood materials announced on 19th September it had acquired the German firm Redux recycling. This comes after revealing its initial expansion into Europe last year. Redux’s facility is situated in Bremerhaven, on Germany’s North Sea coast and has an annual processing capacity of 10,000 tonnes of lithium-ion batteries.

Redwood quickly established an EU presence

The facility is equipped to recycle end of life EV and E-bikes batteries, as well as ESS. Additionally, it can also handle smaller consumer goods such as smart phones, laptops and power drills.
