Vietnamese car manufacturer VinFast has announced it will invest tens of millions of US dollars into Taiwan-based ProLogium to develop solid-state EV batteries. The two companies additionally signed a Memorandum of Understanding outlining long-term strategic cooperation to secure future battery supplies.

Under the agreement, ProLogium will supply VinFast vehicles with its proprietary solid-state batteries from as early as 2024. Currently, the battery maker is awaiting the construction of its first major solid-state plant, with completion due in 2023.
