February has seen a number of developments regarding India’s EV industry. On the 16th of February Mahindra signed a supply contract with VW for MEB components for Mahindra’s EV platform. Additionally, VW is reportedly in talks with the India steel group, JSW, about a possible electric vehicle joint venture. Furthermore, VinFast has requested that the India government consider a reduced import duty on its vehicles for a short period, following the company breaking ground on its Tamil Nadu production facility.
