In recent months, French utility EDF announced the rollout of at least 10,000 fast-charging points in France by 2030 with backing from new investment partners.

Last week, the company announced an investment in cooperation with Morrison Investment to install 8,000 public High-Power Charging (HPC) points in France by 2030. EDF subsidiary Izivia will install and operate the charge points, mainly located on roads and in publicly accessible private car parks. No date for the start of the rollout or specification of the charger speed has been announced yet.
