On the 12th of June, the French Ecological Transition Agency (ADEME) opened the first phase of its support program E-TRANS. With a budget of EUR130 million (USD139 million) for 2024, the scheme will provide financial support for the acquisition of electric heavy-duty vehicles. Split into two phases, the first phase will put EUR20 million (USD21 million) towards helping very small, small and medium-sized businesses. The second phase, open to all companies, puts EUR110 million (USD118 million) towards the acquisition of electric heavy goods vehicles, buses and coaches. In total, the scheme will support the acquisition of at least 2,100 vehicles.
