Chinese EV producer, Li Auto, completed its 400th supercharging station on the 16th of May. This aligns with its plan of building 2,000 charging stations and over 10,000 charging points by the end of 2024. More broadly Li Auto has a vision of having charging coverage on 70% of national express highways and in 90% of core urban areas.
Fast chargers across a range of locations
The chargers Li Auto is installing on highways differ from those installed in urban areas. Its highway chargers have a peak speed of 520 kW, while its urban chargers peak at 250 kW. Li Auto has already established charging stations on 20 popular highway routes, with plans to create more than ten 1,000 km-long charging routes by the end of 2024.
