Hydrovolt is set to expand its business into France by establishing a battery recycling facility in Hordain, Hauts-de-France, also known as France’s “battery valley.” Hydrovolt is a 50:50 joint venture between the battery manufacturer Northvolt and the Norwegian energy company Hydro. Currently, the JV operates a black mass production plant in Norway. This expansion news comes amidst Northvolt’s challenges and the scaling back of its broader expansion plans.
