The battery system supplier for the Guangzhou Development Group (GDG)’s sodium-ion energy storage project in Huzhou, Hubei Province has been announced. State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC)’s subsidiary, ROBESTEC, secured the contract to supply 100MWh/50MW of sodium-ion energy storage systems to the first phase of the GDG Huzhou project. Once completed, this will become China’s largest sodium-ion battery energy storage project.
